Our project was a part of the Stage 21 expo we hosted on the 29th of November 2018. An event evolving around the Society of the Spectacle (La société du spectacle, Guy Debord, 1967) where one could dive into this intense topic of theory. We felt to urge to let our generation—Millenials! Gen-Z!—know it’s okay to be average sometimes. In a society where perfectionism, the pressure of social media and having to ‘be somebody’ are crucial, one sometimes imply needs to dive into the world of mundaneness. To stand up against our craving to be perfect, we each shot a short documentary on one of our group members. Together with Lilo Boerman I created an identity to frame our documentaries.
